溶解性：微溶于水、乙醇

用途：甲叉丙烯酰胺用于生化研究。生物高分子化合物(蛋白质、多肽、核酸)的分离。聚丙烯酰胺凝胶技术和临床检验。与丙烯酰胺共聚可制成油田压裂液，与某种单体共聚制取不溶性树脂，可用作堵水灌浆材料。亦可用作制备聚丙烯酰胺凝胶的交联剂。用于生产印染助剂、餐巾、保健用尿布和其它工业所用的高吸水树脂。临床检验是分离氨基酸的重要材料。在地下建筑中，AAM、MBA注入土层所形成的不溶性凝胶对土层进行强化，防止渗水。加入混凝土可缩短混凝土的养护，提高耐水性。另外MBA在电子、造纸、印刷制版、合成树脂改性以及涂料、粘合剂等方面也广泛应用
